The COSMOS launcher is a 2-stage rocket, designed, developed and manufactured by the Russian company POLYOT since 1961. The first generation of COSMOS launcher was based on strategic missile SS-4, the second generation is based on strategic missile SS-5. The production names of COSMOS launchers are 11K65, 11K65M and 11K65MP for suborbital COSMOS versions.
